Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Wind Turbine Technician to join our team.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, breakdown repairs, and implementation of upgrades on wind turbines locally and across Australia.
  • This involves performing planned preventative maintenance routines and making performance checks as required.
  • Repairing, refurbishing or replacing defective plant equipment and performing corrective maintenance activities as needed to restore plant and equipment performance.
  • Operating and/or assisting with the operation of all assigned plants.
  • Documenting all activities, readings taken, materials and time used to input information into the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Ensuring adherence to Quality Assurance requirements by performing technical procedures, inspections, and test plans.
  • Responding to after-hours call-outs in accordance with the Standby/call out roster.
  • Providing support to other wind farm sites as required.
  • Participating in appropriate training both formally and informally by passing on own expertise as needed.
  • Traveling across sites and locations to support maintenance across different platforms and locations as required.
Requirements
  • Accredited Electrical Trade Qualification is essential.
  • Preferable Wind Turbine Experience/Accreditation highly regarded but not essential.
  • A current Driver's License is necessary.
  • High Voltage Switching experience and qualification desirable.
  • Extensive work experience in the heavy industry sector desirable.
  • A fundamental understanding of asset management principles desirable.

This is a permanent role working normal hours Monday – Friday, with occasional overtime. The ideal candidate will have local residence due to the requirement to travel to multiple sites as needed.
