Job Description:

As a Corporate Development Associate, you will be instrumental in identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic transactions to support the group's growth. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the identification, evaluation, and execution of strategic transactions to drive business growth.
  • Assisting with negotiations with a Canadian financing partner to establish a project financing facility for the group's North American expansion.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across various functions, including external advisors, to prepare documentation such as information memorandums.
  • Conducting comprehensive financial analysis and assisting with due diligence to assess financing transactions.
  • Managing transaction processes from inception to completion, ensuring smooth integration of acquired assets.
  • Preparing high-quality investment proposals and reports for executive review.

The Successful Applicant:

We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, or a similar role.
  • Proven track record in financial modelling, valuation, and due diligence.
  • Experience in the North American market with a major infrastructure fund.
  • Demonstrating a strong understanding of Canadian investors and the core-plus infrastructure market in Canada.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and a strong understanding of commercial and strategic considerations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to influence decision-making at all levels.
  • Results-driven mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Alignment with our values and commitment to driving sustainable growth in the mining industry.
