As a Clinical Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality care to residents while maintaining a supportive work environment for the care team.
- Resident Care: Ensure the delivery of person-centered care to residents, addressing their specific medical, physical, and emotional needs.
- Staff Supervision: Manage and lead a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, caregivers and support staff.
- Care Planning: Oversee the development and implementation of individual care plans for each resident, considering their unique health requirements and preferences.
- Medication Management: Ensure proper administration and management of medications for residents, adhering to prescribed schedules and protocols.
- Family Communication: Communicate effectively with residents' families or legal guardians, providing updates on their loved one's condition and involving them in care decisions when appropriate.
- Crisis Management: Handle emergency situations and critical incidents promptly and effectively.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leadership and management of a team of healthcare professionals.
- Development and implementation of individual care plans for residents.
- Ensuring proper medication management and adherence to prescribed schedules and protocols.
- Effective communication with residents' families or legal guardians.
- Handling emergency situations and critical incidents.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Current AHPRA Registration.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Aged Care as a Registered Nurse.
- Knowledge of Aged Care accreditation standards.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience with ANNAC.
- Expertise in medication administration and wound care with a commitment to ongoing clinical excellence.
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- An outstanding proficiency in care planning, goal setting and evaluation documentation.
