About the Role
The Principal Intel Security Advisor is a critical position that performs an essential role as coach and mentor to staff and management, whilst providing security leadership and direction to the business on significant initiatives whilst driving a security-aware culture.
This role requires a thought-leader who can own, influence, and drive various aspects of security throughout Suncorp. The Principal Intel Security Advisor operates as a key technical expert and takes responsibility for the delivery of many of the team's key operational areas and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Cyber Security intelligence to the business for Threat Management
- Lead incident response, run high-performance detection/alerting systems, and perform technical investigations
- Expert knowledge of detection and alerting, incident response, technical investigations, hunting, threat intelligence, automation
- IT and IT Security experience within a large organisation
- Specialised knowledge of tools, tactics, techniques, and processes of attackers
What You'll Bring
- 10+ years substantial hands-on IT Security experience
- Active participation in industry IT security groups, forums, and information exchanges is desirable
