Senior Professional, Insurance Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate to join our team. As a key member of our Insurance Law practice, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of insurance matters, providing expert advice to insurers and clients.
You will be responsible for managing litigation cases, including document management, correspondence with opposing solicitors, and court attendances. You will also prepare briefs for and attend hearings with Counsel, retain expert witnesses, and finalise witness reports.
As part of our team, you will collaborate with senior practitioners and other team members, coach and mentor junior lawyers, and support graduates and seasonal clerks throughout their rotations.
Key Responsibilities- Providing advice to insurers on cover
- Primary responsibility for day-to-day running of litigation
- Preparing briefs for and attending hearings with Counsel
- Retaining expert witnesses and finalising witness reports
- Corresponding and obtaining instructions from clients
- Maintaining client portals
- Tertiary qualification in Law with current Practising Certificate for relevant jurisdiction
- 5+ years PAE experience
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organised, with effective file management and time recording practices
- Proven experience in building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders
