The Enterprise Risk Management Specialist plays a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the University's risk management framework, ensuring consistency and effectiveness across all portfolios.
This position provides strategic insights and reports to senior leaders and governance bodies on risk exposure, trends, and mitigation strategies, aligned with the University's objectives.
- Develop and implement an enterprise risk management framework, inclusive of associated tools, policies, and procedures, to facilitate proactive risk assessment and mitigation across all departments.
- Provide expert guidance to faculties, divisions, and project teams on identifying and managing strategic, operational, and reputational risks, in line with the University's priorities and compliance requirements.
- Compile and deliver high-quality risk reports to University Council, the Audit and Risk Committee, and University Executive, including analysis of risk trends, emerging issues, and mitigation plans.
- Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with key stakeholders, including risk owners, internal audit, compliance, governance, legal, and planning teams, to foster alignment and integrated risk thinking.
Responsibilities include:
