Work Capacity Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Work Capacity Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in work capacity, claims and injury management.

This is a permanent full-time position based in Sydney or Newcastle office, with flexibility to work from home.

  • Engage with internal Claims Operation teams by offering expert guidance in Work Capacity and Section 38.
  • Develop and utilize reporting, procedures and resources to drive outcomes and increase capability.
  • Complete Internal Reviews of Work Capacity Decisions in line with legislative requirements.
  • Coach and train delivery to support capability uplift across Case Managers, Decisions Reviewers and Leaders.
  • Create and maintain strong relationships with internal customers through proactive engagement and support.
About You
  • Strong analytical, evaluation and problem-solving skills to deliver innovative solutions throughout the continuous improvement lifecycle.
  • Excellent organisational ability including the use of effective time management and prioritization while having strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in a demanding, high volume and deadline driven environment.
  • Great attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player who likes to work collaboratively but can also work independently.
