Job DescriptionWe offer a unique opportunity for an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander graduate to join our specialist research team. Our graduate program provides the platform to acquire and develop social research skills, as well as technical and non-technical competencies required for a successful career in research consulting.
No prior research experience is necessary. Our dedicated team of experienced researchers works alongside our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Principal Advisor, N'arweet Dr Carolyn Briggs, Elder and Traditional Owner.
The selected candidate will have access to a graduate training program to enhance social research skills, a mentoring program facilitated by N'arweet Dr Briggs, and a supportive workplace culture.
The role involves working on various projects with our experienced research team, developing research skills, and gaining experience in research consultancy. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate interest in public sector and/or social research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop research skills through hands-on experience
- Collaborate with the research team on diverse projects
- Assist in conducting interviews and qualitative research analysis
- Contribute to the development of research reports and presentations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, social sciences, market research)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of organisational and time management skills
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude
- Demonstrated interest in public sector and/or social research
This position is open exclusively to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
