We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the Surgical Ward. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Job Description

Our ideal candidate will have experience working in an acute surgical setting and be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice. You will be responsible for undertaking acute nursing care, liaising with the multidisciplinary team, and ensuring patient and staff safety.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Current valid Australian Work rights
  • Demonstrated experience working within an acute surgical setting
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of quality improvement initiatives using research principles to support evidence-based practice

Newcastle Private Hospital is a 189-bed, acute, private hospital facility co-located on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park. Our hospital has 11 theatres, including a hybrid theatre, and a 15-bed Intensive Care Unit. We also have a cardiac suite, including a cardiac catheter laboratory, and a 16-bed Coronary Care Unit.

In addition, we have a private maternity suite, including 6 birthing suites and a special care baby nursery. Newcastle Private Oncology Centre provides specialty care for individuals and their families/carers undergoing all aspects of cancer treatment and care.
