Job Overview

About the Role
  • The Enrolled Nurse will provide high-quality patient care, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Responsibilities include assisting with pre- and post-operative care, monitoring patients' conditions, administering medications (as per scope of practice), and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for recovery.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to surgical patients, including wound care, mobilization, and pain management.
  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of patients before and after surgery.
  • Observe and report changes in patients' conditions to the Registered Nurse.
  • Administer medications as per scope of practice and hospital policies.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
  • Assist with patient education on post-operative care and discharge planning.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and workplace health and safety standards.
Requirements
  • Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the relevant nursing board.
  • Experience working in a surgical ward environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
