As a seasoned Guardian, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with impaired capacity.

About This Role

This position involves conducting structured personal and health care decision making and advocacy. You will act as an appointed guardian or attorney for adults requiring support.

You will ensure that your clients' rights, interests, views, wishes, and preferences are at the forefront of all decision-making activities.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • You will undertake structured decision-making adhering to organisational policies and practice directions.
  • You will participate in healthcare decision making, which may require working weekends and public holidays.
  • You will maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client-related documentation and guardianship activities.
  • You will provide professional advice, information, and support to the Public Guardian and their delegates.
  • You will foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You will participate in community education and liaison activities representing the Public Guardian.
  • You will evaluate and interpret behaviours support documents from an evidence-based and human rights perspective.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess a C class driver's license, as travel is required to attend meetings and events across various locations.

Applications should remain current for 12 months.
