We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Scientific Director to lead our scientific team and oversee the delivery of exceptional assisted reproductive technology (ART) services.
About the RoleThis leadership position combines hands-on embryology with strategic oversight, ensuring optimal laboratory conditions, innovation in scientific practice, and outstanding patient outcomes.
The successful candidate will have ultimate responsibility for the operation of the IVF laboratory, including protocols, procedures, and staff management.
Closely collaborating with Medical and Nursing Directors, clinicians, counsellors, and senior management is essential to achieving excellent clinical results and driving growth across the business.
Main Responsibilities- Lead and manage the scientific team, promoting ongoing professional development and adherence to best practice.
- Oversight of all laboratory operations, including IVF, ICSI, embryo culture, cryopreservation, semen analysis, genetic testing, and quality control.
- Developing, implementing, and reviewing laboratory protocols and policies to ensure world-class patient care.
- Maintaining and reporting on laboratory performance indicators, including pregnancy rates.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, safety protocols, and relevant legislation.
- Contributing to business growth through innovation, technology adoption, and collaborative leadership.
- Participation in accreditation processes, research, and education initiatives.
A Bachelor of Science degree (minimum); Master's or PhD strongly preferred.
Extensive IVF laboratory experience (10+ years), ideally with prior experience as a Scientific Director.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Strong knowledge of ART procedures, andrology, and current scientific practices.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to support patients compassionately and collaborate with clinical teams.
Valid driver's license and passport.
