In this pivotal role, you'll lead the strategic management of Heavy Rail Facilities & Property within Transport for NSW's transformative agenda. Your focus will be on developing, maintaining, and improving asset management plans and investment strategies, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. You will provide assurance that asset management, maintenance, and operational performance meet rigorous requirements, supporting long-term reliability and sustainability of NSW's heavy rail infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accuracy, compliance, and currency of Asset Registers across the asset class.
  • Prepare business cases, reports, and strategic recommendations by analysing data, assessing risks, evaluating costs, and consulting stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to develop integrated investment plans aligned with long-term infrastructure strategies, system reliability, and funding considerations.
  • Lead creation and delivery of integrated Transport Asset Management Strategic Assets and Services Plans (TAM SASP) and Asset and Services Plans (TAM ASP) for the portfolio.
  • Provide technical assurance on safety, environmental, maintenance, and operational performance of the asset class.
  • Identify opportunities for asset improvements, including technology adoptions, upgrades, renewals, and divestments to optimize lifecycle value.
  • Participate in governance as the asset owner, approving changes in program intent related to acquisition, sustainment, renewal, and divestment activities.
  • Act as the 'voice of the owner' by providing strategic advice and signoff on asset governance matters in collaboration with the Passenger Integration and Planning (PIP) team.
