Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description:

This role is responsible for performing full-cycle accounts payable duties, including processing weekly payment disbursements and other AP tasks.

Responsibilities:
  1. Perform full-cycle accounts payable duties, including validating charges, 3-way matching, reviewing invoices for proper documentation, obtaining approval, and verifying proper GL coding.
  2. Process weekly payment disbursements, including check runs, vendor ACH, and wire payments.
  3. Manage month-end close processes around payables and accruals.
  4. Verify approvals on all vendor documentation.
  5. Scan vendor documentation into electronic workflow.
  6. Ownership of vendor master file, including adding new vendors, updating vendor records, and other related tasks.
  7. Provide ad-hoc analysis of expenses as needed.
  8. Co-administrate the expense reimbursement platform, including training, reporting, and problem resolution.
  9. Manage and monitor AP email inbox to ensure timely processing of invoices.
  10. Respond to vendor or employee inquiries to reconcile account statements, resolve payment processing issues, discrepancies, or any other related transactions in a timely manner.
  11. Review company credit card reconciliations and record charges.
Requirements:

This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Team player with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience working in accounts payable, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, and knowledge of NetSuite.
