Occupational Health and Safety Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Work Health and Safety (WHS) Advisor to join our team in Melbourne's Northern suburbs. As a WHS Advisor, you will play a key role in the People & Culture team, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and promoting a positive WHS culture within the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective WHS strategies, processes, and procedures.
- Conduct internal audits to identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions.
- Analyse and recommend improvements to WHS systems, process, and procedures.
- Manage accident/incident investigations, workers' compensation claims, and return-to-work plans.
- Develop and communicate incident alerts, learnings, and corrective actions.
- Lead, support, and train risk reviews and manage actions.
- Deliver training, awareness, and instruction on WHS best practices.
Requirements:
- Australian working rights.
- Qualifications in occupational health and safety or other relevant disciplines.
- 4-7 years or more experience in a similar role, preferably within the Manufacturing, Logistics, or Construction industries.
- Experience in applying risk management, hazard identification, and incident investigation principles.
- Intermediate to High Level Experience in using Microsoft Office Suite and database systems.
- Sound knowledge of relevant WHS legislation, Codes of Practice, and AS/NZ Standards.
