Business Risk Model Leader

Role Overview

The Business Risk Model Leader will be part of a dynamic team responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust credit risk model governance framework. This role requires strong analytical skills, business acumen, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee ongoing monitoring of credit risk models to ensure adherence to best practice risk management methodologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to stay up-to-date with recent developments across the organization.
  • Ensure core modelling data is managed and maintained to meet business requirements and regulatory compliance.
  • Facilitate regular credit risk model monitoring forums and reviews of model monitoring outcomes.
  • Enhance the existing model monitoring framework by adopting new tools and technologies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure efficient data transition between environments.
  • Monitor risk issues and recommend remedial action to address marginal or unsatisfactory model performance.
  • Deliver data requests and supporting analysis required for regulatory validation.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience in credit risk analytics/management with a detailed understanding of data management, business, and consumer portfolios.
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of data to facilitate effective credit risk management.
  • Ability to identify opportunities to enhance business processes through statistical models and tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to learn and adapt.
  • Tertiary qualifications (Quantitative, Actuarial, Statistics or other relevant degree) or equivalent business experience.
  • Proficiency in technical skills including SAS programming, SQL, R, Excel with VBA, Word, PowerPoint, Bitbucket, and Tableau.
