About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Executive Project Director to lead and oversee the delivery of data transformation projects within a major Customer Mastering Initiative for one of Australia's leading banks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all stages of data transformation projects, ensuring they align with delivery standards and meet business objectives.
  • Work with senior management and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and key deliverables.
  • Oversee the seamless transition from legacy systems to new data models, ensuring smooth integration and transformation.
  • Lead internal teams and external vendors to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Identify potential risks and issues early, implementing solutions to maintain project momentum and success.
  • Partner with both business and technical teams to ensure project alignment with organizational needs and goals.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor project budgets, ensuring financial resources are used efficiently.
  • Work with Change Management teams to facilitate the adoption of new data systems and processes across the organization.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and key milestones to senior leadership.
  • Ensure all projects comply with internal data governance standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Requirements
  • Over 8 years of experience in project management, including at least 3 years leading large-scale data transformation or IT projects.
  • In-depth expertise in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies, with PMP, PRINCE2, or Scrum certifications preferred.
  • Strong understanding of data migration, integration processes, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and data governance best practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills, with a track record of successfully managing both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in driving change management initiatives and successfully delivering data transformation projects.
