
Cellular Network Specialist

The Network Operations Center role is responsible for Level 1 incident and fault management within the Sydney Trains DTRS network. This involves working as part of a 24/7/365 shift team to ensure high network availability.
The ideal candidate will have experience in cellular network NOC and customer support, with a strong understanding of GSM-R rail telecommunications and cyber security.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and managing network incidents and faults
- Using tools such as SAP, EMC Smarts, and NMS applications for incident resolution and reporting
- Collaborating with field technicians and clients to maintain high network availability
- Contributing to technical documentation and continuous service improvement
Required skills and qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Minimum 5 years' experience in cellular network NOC and customer support (GSM 2G preferred)
- Proficient with Huawei & Nokia RAN, core and transmission equipment in 2G/4G/5G cellular networks
- Proficient with network logfile, call trace and events analysis
