Renewable Energy Project Manager

We are seeking a skilled professional to play a pivotal role in managing development activities for our portfolio of projects. Based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane, you will lead community and stakeholder engagement, driving the successful development and delivery of renewable energy projects.
As a key member of our team, you will work independently and collaboratively to deliver results, leveraging your expertise to build strong relationships with communities, stakeholders and first nations communities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing engagement strategies and social action plans for key stakeholders and communities
- Leading stakeholder engagement, including meetings programs, responding to relevant consultations and stakeholder mapping
- Coaching and supporting development and delivery teams in engaging communities and stakeholders
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Direct experience working in a project developer, utility, energy or infrastructure business, performing community and stakeholder roles
- Experience building relationships with communities, stakeholders and first nations communities, collaborating with development and construction teams
- Ability to drive, develop and implement effective engagement strategies and social action plans
- Expertise leading stakeholder engagement, including meetings programs, responding to relevant consultations, stakeholder mapping and community events
- Five to seven years' of hands-on experience in the development of onshore utility scale renewable energy projects in Australia
- Demonstrated track record in influencing effective community engagement program design and delivery
- Experience in monitoring and evaluating community and stakeholder engagement across a portfolio of projects
- Experience in developing project communications collateral and information, collaborating with internal stakeholders
- An understanding of sustainability reporting requirements such as GRESB and SFDR Article 9
- Ability to drive and implement ESG strategies at the project level
- Proven ability to lead the implementation and champion the use of systems and processes to produce stakeholder insights
- Excellent communication skills to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- A degree (or equivalent) in an environmental, engineering, planning or science-based subject, with excellent project management skills
