Senior Acute Social Worker Opportunity

There is an exciting opportunity for a clinician with a passion for engaging consumers in an acute hospital setting.

We are looking for a senior social worker to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based interventions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing clinical services to patient groups and circumstances of a complex nature requiring advanced practice skills.
  • Providing clinical supervision and support to junior staff and students on clinical placement.
  • Participating in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of services and quality improvement activities.

Required qualifications include:

  • A degree in social work with eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Work.
  • Advanced clinical reasoning skills and the ability to operate independently with minimal direct supervision.
  • Well-developed time management skills, written and verbal communication, and IT skills including an ability or willingness to use telehealth as a mode of delivery of clinical care.
