We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Part-Time Assistant Coordinator at St Pius OSHC at Banyo. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Coordinator in the day-to-day operations of the service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program planning, delivery, and documentation: Assist in the development and implementation of high-quality programs that promote the well-being, learning, and personal development of children.
  • Staff rostering and supervision: Support the Coordinator in rostering and supervising staff to ensure the smooth operation of the service.
  • Administration and financial management tasks: Assist with administrative and financial tasks, including fee collection and management of service finances.
  • Delivery of a high-quality, inclusive, educational program: Work collaboratively with the Coordinator to deliver a program that is inclusive, educational, and meets the needs of children.
  • Providing a safe, secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment: Ensure that children feel safe, secure, and supported in their daily activities.
  • Promoting the service within the local community: Assist in promoting the service within the local community, in accordance with the Vision, Mission, and Values of Catholic Early EdCare.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Children Services or equivalent: Hold a Diploma in Children Services or equivalent qualification as per ACECQA guidelines.
  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis: Hold a current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, and Asthma/Anaphylaxis certification.
  • Consent to be the Responsible Person on site: Be willing to act as the Responsible Person on site in the absence of the Coordinator.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place framework, and National Law/Regulations: Have a good understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place framework, and National Law/Regulations.
  • Experience in the education and care of children: Have experience in the education and care of children.
  • Effective computer skills, including experience with childcare management software: Have effective computer skills, including experience with childcare management software (Xplor preferred).
  • Effective workplace communication and leadership skills: Possess effective workplace communication and leadership skills.
