About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly competent Design Manager/Senior Design Manager to join our team at Cundall in Melbourne, Australia. As a key member of our Building Services team, you will be responsible for managing a design team on some of the most innovative and sustainable projects in the country and worldwide.

We are looking for a technical background in building services or a related discipline, such as electrical, mechanical, fire, hydraulics, telecommunications, or security. A strong understanding of project management principles and experience leading large teams to deliver technically sound projects within challenging programs will be highly regarded.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing managerial skills, including people management, financial and commercial management, marketing, and business development. They will also have a passion for creative and intuitive design, as well as hands-on experience managing projects and client relationships.

About the Skills

We are looking for a candidate with a degree in Project Management, Engineering, or Building Services Engineering (MEng or BEng or equivalent). Experience in leading large data centers or critical systems as a design manager working for a lead consultant will be highly regarded.

The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to oversee creative design solutions, with a passion for intuitive design and hands-on experience managing projects and client relationships. Excellent communication skills, project management skills, and experience using initiative to overcome challenges are essential.
