About this role

We are hiring a Cook to join our team on a part-time basis.

You will be at the heart of our community, preparing fresh, tasty meals for our residents each day.

  • Prepare and serve meals to a high standard using fresh, local ingredients while minimising waste and following menu guidelines.
  • Order, receive, and rotate stock efficiently ensuring quality control and compliance with food safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen and dining area, including equipment, surfaces, and floors.
  • Work respectfully and effectively with team members contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
  • Follow all WHS and food safety procedures, including audits, chemical handling, and accurate record-keeping.

About you

  • Previous food safety training and a solid understanding of HACCP principles.
  • Experience in food preparation and cooking with strong communication and basic budgeting skills.
  • A proactive, respectful team player who takes feedback well and contributes to a positive work environment.
  • Manage time effectively, stay responsive under pressure, and maintain high standards in everything you do.
  • Comfortable with lifting, standing for long periods, and using kitchen equipment and cleaning products safely with PPE.
