Database Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Systems Engineer to join our team at Worldline. As a key member of our North America IT operations team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our production and non-production databases. You will work closely with our engineering teams to enhance software functionality and partner with our operations teams to ensure high uptime and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement database solutions to meet the needs of our customers and colleagues
  • Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting to resolve performance issues and fix problems
  • Collaborate with our security and risk management teams to ensure the highest level of platform security
  • Participate in the engineering/design process to enhance functionality and deliver new features
  • Work with our operations teams to maintain high uptime and performance

Requirements

  • Senior-level experience with SQL Server and T-SQL
  • Familiarity with Agile concepts like CI/CD and their application to database design
  • Passion for automation, including familiarity with tools like Ansible, Jenkins, and Octopus
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong desire to work as a team to get the job done
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a relentless focus on continuous improvement
  • 5+ years of professional experience managing SQL Server databases in a highly available, fast-paced environment
