At Aspect Schools, we are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for children on the autism spectrum. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging and individualized lesson plans that cater to the unique needs and abilities of each student. They will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and psychologist, to ensure that students receive comprehensive support and services.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children on the autism spectrum and possess a deep understanding of evidence-based educational practices. They will be passionate about delivering high-quality education and care, and will demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • NESA registration to teach in NSW
  • Special Education qualifications
  • Experience working with students on the autism spectrum or with other intellectual disability (desirable)
  • NSW Working with Children Check clearance for paid employment
  • Depending on the school's location/requirements it may be essential to have a current driver's licence
  • A Light Rigid (LR) driver's licence (desirable)
