About the Role:

The Iconic is seeking a talented Product Designer to join our Design Team. As a Product Designer, you will be responsible for driving the conception and development of all products in your brand by always driving innovation & creativity with a customer-centric focus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design direction and create captivating collections in line with your brand/brands from start to finish
  • Maintain a close link with manufacturers to ensure seamless handover of developments, making sure all tech packs submitted are accurate, completed and submitted in line with company timelines.
  • Communicate regularly with the Design Team to ensure any critical design issues or developments are highlighted and resolved when required
  • Select, develop, and source fabrications, colours, trims etc. in line with company standards
  • Attend fit sessions and use technical ability to ensure best fit is achieved and approve final samples with GT
  • Approve all details of final product in line with original design brief
  • Understand the manufacturing structure of the supplier's business in order to recognise cost & manufacturing opportunities for every design submitted
  • Participate in range planning meetings to ensure the range is balanced in styling, colour and fabrications.

What it Takes:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Assistant Designer/Junior Designer role
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong trend forecasting skills with a commercial eye for fashion
  • Ability to time manage work load in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Proficient in illustrator and photoshop would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
