Stock Market Kitchen is a fresh food concept focused on wholesome meals based on four liquid stocks. Our restaurant offers a daily menu of soups and a range of salad dressings that pair with made-to-order salads.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef and Restaurant Operations Manager to join our dynamic team in Sydney, NSW 2000. This full-time position comes with a competitive salary package including $74,000 + Superannuation.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the restaurant's activities to ensure daily operations and services run at optimum efficiency. Key responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the management of restaurant activities to ensure daily operations and services are kept at optimum efficiency.
  • Organising seasonal promotions and planning special functions.
  • Working closely with cooks/chefs to plan menus and specials dishes of the month.
  • Monitoring quality of services delivered and food quality served at all times through customer satisfaction feedback.
  • Ensuring sanitary practices for food handling, cleanliness, and maintenance of food service and dining areas and complying with health and safety regulations.
  • Dealing and resolving customer complaints.
  • Working closely with the Director to set up sales forecasts and reviewing and monitoring expenditures according to budget limitations.
  • Organising daily and weekly rosters for staff.
  • Recruiting, training, and supervising staff to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Controlling stock levels, including purchasing orders and negotiating prices while maintaining accurate records.
  • Ensuring effective systems for cash handling and retail banking are in place, reviewing, and updating business processes as necessary.
  • Taking reservations.
  • FOLLOWING OUR POLICIES AND PROCEDURES.

Requirements and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant qualification in hospitality or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in restaurant management or a similar role.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team.
