About Chennai Palace

Chennai Palace is a well-established Indian Restaurant Chain with branches in Walkerville and Holdenhill, Adelaide. Our restaurant is open six days a week for dinner and at weekends for lunch and brunch, offering dine-in, party hall, outdoor catering, and takeaway services.

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team, who will be responsible for managing front-of-house and kitchen operations, selecting, training, rostering, supervising, and performance managing waitering and kitchen staff.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years relevant experience and strong leadership skills. Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing procedures and updates from the Director;
  • Running the restaurant and managing front-of-house and kitchen operations;
  • Selecting, training, rostering, supervising, and performance managing waitering and kitchen staff;
  • Organising for the purchase of goods according to set periodic budgets;
  • Advising on menu planning in consultation with the Director and chef;
  • Meeting with guests to discuss their special function requirements and organising special functions as required;
  • Preparing stock and resource reports, including staff control, inventory control, and sales;
