We are seeking a seasoned Marine Engineer to lead our team in delivering exceptional results.

  • Develop and implement vessel maintenance programs, ensuring compliance and safety standards are met.
  • Oversight of training and development requirements for Marine Engineers.
  • Evaluate performance and provide coaching to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Create and enforce marine engineering SOPs, documents, and procedures.
  • Align vocational training with career progression pathways for Marine Engineers.
  • Conduct regular audits and oversee HELM records training onboard.
  • Foster on-the-job training for MEDs promoting personal and professional growth.
  • Maintain high mechanical operation standards with Fleet Engineering Manager.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced Marine Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing vessel visit and inspection programs, overseeing training and development requirements, and assessing performance.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have:

  • A strong technical background with marine engines and systems knowledge.
  • Experience with installations and risk assessments.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on meeting guest expectations.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Intermediate computer literacy, including maintenance management software proficiency and data entry.
  • Certificates: MAR40220 Certificate IV in Maritime Operations (Marine Engine Driver Grade 1 NC), HLTAID011 Provide First Aid & Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, HLTAID015 Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy, Responsible Service of Alcohol (QLD), Working with Children's Check (Blue Card)
