">Job Summary

The First Mate is a key role within our organization, responsible for supporting the Vessel Master and Engineer in managing daily vessel operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administration and Safety Duties: Assist the Vessel Master with administrative tasks and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Guest Experience: Ensure guest safety, satisfaction, and optimal vessel and engine performance.
  • Vessel Operations: Support watch-keeping, vessel handling, and navigation.
  • Crew Development: Conduct regular onboard safety drills and crew training to enhance team performance and compliance.

This role requires proven abilities in delivering exceptional customer service, communicating effectively, and managing crowds. You will also be responsible for conducting safety drills confidently and managing time effectively with strong organizational skills.

">Requirements
  • Maritime Qualifications: Minimum Master 24, with MED 3 or Coxswain Grade 1 (mandatory).
  • First Aid and CPR: HLTAID011 Provide First Aid and HLTAID015 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Apply Oxygen Resuscitation (mandatory).
  • Working with Children's Check: QLD Working with Children's Check (Blue Card) (mandatory).
