Purchasing & Database Coordinator Role

We are seeking a driven and strategic Purchasing & Database Coordinator to join our team on a 6-12 month full-time contract with the possibility of going permanent.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and relevant information to internal and external customers, assisting with placing orders, generating purchase orders, and continually improving business relationships with suppliers and freight forwarders.
  • Offering exceptional customer service to all customers, both internal and external.
  • Following through on customer inquiries and complaints, keeping them updated on project progress.
  • Participating in and supporting team decisions, sharing information, and promoting a friendly and cooperative work environment.
  • Ensuring timely and neat filing of all paperwork, maintaining records in line with legislation, and maintaining a safe and tidy work environment.
  • Providing backup support to other team members, performing ad-hoc reporting, and maintaining confidentiality.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in purchasing and database management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and team members through various means.
  • High-level Excel skills and high levels of numerical accuracy and attention to detail to process purchase orders and item Masterfile data accurately and timely.
  • Customer-focused mindset, deadline-focused, organized, and able to learn new skills, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
