Mental Health Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Care Specialist to join our team at Open Minds Integrated Mental Health Services in Rockhampton. This is a part-time or full-time contract position based in the region, providing a supportive and flexible working environment with no shift work or after-hours duties.
As a Mental Health Clinician (Clinical Care Coordinator), you will collaborate with our clinical team to deliver essential services throughout the Country to Coast Queensland region. Your role will involve supporting clients with severe mental health conditions by delivering direct treatment and coordinating their care effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments and develop tailored treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based psychosocial interventions
- Manage a clinical caseload and conduct risk assessment with management plans
- Engage in data collection and contribute to monitoring and evaluation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
- Facilitate care planning and review processes
- Monitor and escalate mental health needs as necessary

About You:
- Current annual practicing certificate from AHPRA or registered with AASW
- Tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, mental health nursing, or a relevant discipline
- Experience with complex mental health
- Experience working in cross-cultural settings, particularly with First Nations people
- Experience working in trauma-informed and recovery-oriented service
- Ability to work in a team within a diverse environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and software
