We are seeking a qualified therapist to join our team in providing specialist therapy services to young people who have experienced sexual harm or display harmful sexual behaviours.
- This is a full-time position funded by the government until 30 June 2026 with possible extension.
- The role offers a salary range of $106,390 - $111,093 + Super.
- You will provide trauma-informed, developmentally sensitive and culturally safe counselling and support to children and young people who have experienced unwanted sexual contact and/or to address harmful sexual behaviours.
- You will work towards client goals and achieve successful case outcomes for clients.
- You will focus on early intervention working holistically with families, parents, and carers to prevent further harm.
- You must hold tertiary degree qualifications in a relevant discipline such as psychology, social work, or counselling.
- You must be registered with the appropriate Board under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- You must have at least two (2) years' experience working with children, young people and their families in similar roles.
- You must have experience providing individual and group therapy to children, young people and their families.
- You must have a good understanding of the impacts of trauma on child and family functioning.
