At Sonder, you'll be part of a dynamic movement providing timely, effective care through our Response Network of skilled Responders.

About the role:

As a key member of our Response Network, you will provide in-person support to our members who require assistance, collaborating closely with our Support Centre. This position is ideal for serving or former workers from identified industries, offering flexible working arrangements that balance work-life harmony with your on-call capacity.

Ideal locations include Rockhampton.

You will be employed in a casual capacity as part of the Sonder Responders Network.

The Role involves working a flexible, 24-hour on-call roster, providing an exciting opportunity for the right individuals to establish and grow the network in Australia from the ground level. Decision-making, response, empathy, and a drive to help others are essential qualities for success and job satisfaction.

Additionally, when required, you will assist the Response Network Manager in:

  • Conducting stakeholder engagement to support operational outputs
  • Nurturing partnership relations, engagement, and training
  • Providing input to operational procedures and network management
  • Conducting emergency and non-emergency support responses as needed to support responders in your area

Who are we looking for?

We seek experienced professionals from military, law enforcement, mental health sectors, or emergency services backgrounds who share our passion for assisting those in need. You should be confident in assessing critical situations and determining the next steps. Empathy is crucial.

You will possess:

  • Recent or current experience within Australia's emergency services, military, and/or security-related sectors, along with a strong local network
  • A high level of self-awareness, motivation, and self-management
  • The ability to set priorities, act on key issues, and make quick decisions while demonstrating interpersonal sensitivity
  • Flexibility in working a rotating on-call schedule
