About the Role
">This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team at EACH Victoria as a Mental Health Clinician in our Better Connect program, providing dedicated support to older adults.
">Job Overview
">We are seeking an experienced mental health professional with a focus on individual counselling therapy and trauma-informed care. The successful candidate will join our new Better Health service, working collaboratively with partnering organizations to deliver comprehensive, integrated, and person-centred care across Central Queensland, Wide Bay, and Sunshine Coast regions.
">Key Responsibilities

- Deliver high-quality counselling services to residents living in Aged Care Facilities, addressing mental health concerns and promoting mental wellbeing.">
- Increase mental health awareness among residential aged care facility staff, families, and carers.">
- Collaborate closely with RACFs, families, and carers to improve mental health outcomes for residents.">
- Participate in networking forums to develop referral pathways and promote services at EACH Victoria.">
- Engage in clinical supervision to maintain professional growth and excellence in service provision.">
Requirements
">To succeed in this role, you will have:
">- ">
- Demonstrated experience in individual counselling therapy, with a focus on mental health, trauma, vulnerable populations, and family conflict.">
- Knowledge of services, networks, and social models of health and mental health recovery principles.">
- Experience in therapeutic approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and brief therapy.">
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and database management systems.">
- A minimum bachelor's degree required (e.g., Counselling, Social Work, Nursing) and relevant registration or certification.">
- At least 2 years of experience within the mental health field and experience working with older adults (highly regarded).">
