Job Title: Positive Behaviour Support Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Professional to join our team based in Canberra. This is your chance to develop your professional and clinical skills while expanding your leadership capabilities.

As a Positive Behaviour Support Specialist, you'll conduct thorough assessments, write tailored plans and programmes, assist with their implementation, and supervise other practitioners.

  • Develop and maintain relationships to make positive changes in the lives of others
  • Provide direct behavioural interventions in individual and group sessions
  • Develop Functional Behavioural Assessments and Behaviour Analysis Support Plans
  • Support colleagues and caregivers with clinical techniques
  • Partner with professionals to develop and implement individualised client goals and checklists
  • Adhere to legislative requirements regarding timely and accurate report writing and documentation
Requirements

What You'll Need

  • A bachelor's degree and/or post graduate qualifications related to Positive Behaviour Support
  • Hold or can obtain an NDIS Practitioner ID, NDIS Workers Screening Check and Working with Children Check
  • Proven experience as either a Behaviour Support Practitioner, Behaviour Analyst or Behaviour Therapist
  • Ability to prepare and finalise technical reports in a timely manner, using high-level verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective time management skills, managing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
