Job Title

Behaviour Support Professional

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in Behavioural Support, working with individuals and teams to deliver high-quality services.

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in conducting assessments, writing behaviour support plans and programmes, assisting with the implementation of plans and supervising other practitioners.

The work is based on the principles of Positive Behaviour Support for children and adults in various settings.

  • Develop and maintain relationships to make positive changes in people's lives.
  • Provide direct behavioural interventions in individual and group sessions.
  • Conduct Functional Behavioural Assessments and write Behaviour Analysis Support Plans.
  • Support and train colleagues, caregivers, and support workers on clinical techniques.
  • Collaborate with professionals, such as doctors, psychiatrists, and therapists, to develop and implement client goals and checklists.
  • Ensure timely and accurate report writing and documentation.
  • Complete introductory training in Positive Behaviour Support.

Required Skills and Qualifications

What You Need

  • A bachelor's degree and/or postgraduate qualifications related to Positive Behaviour Support.
  • Hold or obtain an NDIS Practitioner ID, NDIS Workers Screening Check, and Working with Children Check.
  • Proven experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, Behaviour Analyst, or Behaviour Therapist.
  • Ability to prepare technical reports in a timely manner, using high-level verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective time management skills, managing multiple competing priorities.
  • Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle.
