Trades Assistant Role

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Trades Assistant to join our team in the day-to-day running of our Reman Facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting Fitters with store control, receiving and dispatching Reman items, cleaning and repairing components, disassembling parts as required, maintaining accuracy during final QA inspections, and packaging units ready for dispatch.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in store control involving receiving and dispatch of Reman items
  • Cleaning and repairing of Reman components as per procedures
  • Disassembling components in line with procedures when required
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy when carrying out final QA inspections and packaging units ready for dispatch
  • Forklift operating
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working environment

To succeed in this role, you must have a strong focus on safety and adhere to site safety processes. You should also possess mechanical skills, a willingness to learn, and an understanding of Mining, Earthmoving, and/or Construction equipment. Additionally, you should be able to recognize basic product quality deviations/faults and possess good communication skills and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.

Requirements
  • A safety-focused mindset and adherence to site safety processes
  • Strong mechanical skills and a willingness to learn
  • An understanding of Mining, Earthmoving, and/or Construction equipment
  • The ability to recognize basic product quality deviations/faults
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
  • Forklift license and spray-painting experience advantageous
