Clinical Mental Health Professional Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team at the Bathurst Correctional Centre.


This is a challenging and rewarding role that involves providing safe, evidence-based, person-centred mental health care in line with the standards, policies and procedures of the NSW Ministry of Health and other statutory authorities.


You will have the opportunity to apply Trauma Informed Care and Recovery principles and align with the National Practice Standards for Mental Health Workforce and NSW Health Mental Health Competencies.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality assessment and management of mental health issues, discharge planning and transfer of care, and provide clinical leadership in treatment planning and review systems.

Requirements:
  • Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Three years' full-time experience in mental health and post-graduate qualifications in mental health, or an equivalent combination of experience and qualifications.
