We are seeking a seasoned environmental specialist to support the development and delivery of energy projects across Australia. As a Senior Environmental Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our operations align with best practices and minimize environmental risks.

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of environmental management systems, legislation, and approval processes. They will be able to provide technical advice and guidance to project teams, while promoting environmental awareness and capability throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SUPPORT ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING BY DEVELOPING AND IMPLEMENTING MANAGEMENT PLANS, PROCEDURES, AND TOOLS ALIGNED WITH COMPANY SYSTEMS.
  • OVERSEE DAILY ENVIRONMENTAL TASKS BASED ON PROJECT RISK LEVELS, ENSURING SMOOTH OPERATIONS AND COMPLIANCE.
  • PROVIDE TECHNICAL ADVICE AND ASSIST WITH SECURING ENVIRONMENTAL APPROVALS DURING BIDS AND PROJECT PHASES.
  • PROMOTE ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS AND BUILD CAPABILITY ACROSS PROJECT TEAMS THROUGH GUIDANCE AND COLLABORATION.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • TERTIARY QUALIFICATION IN ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT OR A RELATED DISCIPLINE.
  • MINIMUM 3 YEARS' EXPERIENCE IN THE CONSTRUCTION OR RENEWABLE ENERGY SECTORS.
  • STRONG UNDERSTANDING OF ENVIRONMENTAL LEGISLATION AND APPROVAL PROCESS.
