As a highly skilled project coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely execution of projects for a leading mining client across multiple sites. Your responsibilities will include managing and maintaining detailed project timelines, coordinating with various project teams, and providing regular updates to stakeholders.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, with experience working in fast-paced environments and collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams. Proficiency in Primavera P6 and other project planning tools is essential.

  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules for multiple capital projects using Primavera P6.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Incorporate scope changes, resourcing updates, and interface activities while maintaining adherence to governance frameworks.
  • Coordinate across departments including Engineering, Procurement, Planning, and Shutdowns to ensure alignment on deliverables and timelines.
  • Generate reports and dashboards using Power BI to provide clear visibility of project performance.
  • Use SAP and Excel to support planning, data analysis, and reporting tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a project coordinator within the mining, resources, or heavy industry sectors.
  • Expert knowledge of Primavera P6, with demonstrated experience creating and maintaining project schedules.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, SAP, and Microsoft Excel.
  • In-depth understanding of project lifecycle phases, stage gate processes, and capital project governance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and maintain attention to detail in a dynamic project environment.
