
Respiratory Program Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Respiratory Program. This role will involve leading and developing a portfolio of research projects, securing funding, and contributing to the strategic direction of the program.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record in application and procurement of grants and funds, as well as experience in writing high-impact research papers.
They will also possess advanced technical writing and oral presentation skills, with the ability to develop collaborations within and external to the home organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain high-level oversight of ongoing studies and contribute to all research activities within the program.
- Lead aspects of grant writing and submissions for new projects.
- Support current projects to ensure optimal trial and execution and team engagement.
- Provide expert input during research meetings and guide high-impact publications.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Relevant health/medical qualification.
- PhD in a relevant health-related discipline.
- Seasoned Researcher or Leader of a small research theme within a program.
- Experience in the management of research projects and/or clinical trials.
- Demonstrated track record in application and procurement of grants and funds.
- Experienced in writing high-impact research papers.
- Advanced technical writing and oral presentation skills.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, analytical skills, and strategic thinking.
