About the ICT Procurement Specialist Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an exciting team as an ICT Procurement Specialist. As a proactive, strategic thinker with strong experience in ICT procurement, you will bring a mix of public and private sector experience, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and a commitment to ethical procurement practices.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing and procurement plans by gathering market intelligence and conducting thorough risk assessments to ensure effective contract management.
  • Lead tender processes, including documentation, evaluation, and probity compliance to ensure transparency and fairness throughout the process.
  • Negotiate and draft high-value contracts that meet business needs and comply with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide expert advice on procurement risk and compliance, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimize exposure.
  • Represent procurement at board and steering committee meetings to provide strategic guidance and support business objectives.
  • Manage contracts and ensure ethical, transparent procurement practices are maintained throughout the procurement lifecycle.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of QPP, contract law, and relevant legislation to stay ahead of changing regulatory requirements.
  • Support change and innovation in procurement processes by identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing process enhancements.
