The Role
  • We are seeking a skilled professional to play a pivotal role in enabling data-driven operations. Responsibilities include designing and maintaining robust data ingestion pipelines, managing secure and efficient data transfers into our systems, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of data to support core business functions.

  • Key responsibilities include providing ongoing support for data infrastructure, monitoring data platform performance, recommending infrastructure enhancements to maintain optimal benchmarks, designing and implementing ETL pipelines using CI/CD methodologies, contributing to the development and deployment of solution designs and big data platform strategies across all environments, communicating technical updates and project priorities to leadership, investigating and resolving data-related incidents promptly.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Information Technology or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in data management across cloud platforms, data lakes, warehousing, analytics, and business intelligence.
  • Proficient with BI and analytics tools such as Databricks, SQL Server, Power BI, R, and Python.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing, big data architecture, data streaming, and virtualisation.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong development skills in Python and SQL.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex stakeholder queries.
