The Role
Responsibilities
Our client is looking for a skilled and motivated Control Systems Engineer to join their tight-knit team and help deliver practical automation solutions. You'll use your hands-on experience in control systems to design, program, implement, and support a wide range of industrial systems. These systems are used across various sectors, including oil & gas, power generation, renewables, water, BMS, and government projects. You will also be responsible for:

  • Design, develop, and maintain new and existing industrial automation systems
  • Work closely with clients and stakeholders to deliver practical, fit-for-purpose solutions
  • Identify and report potential risks and safety issues
  • Look for ways to improve efficiency using new tools or technologies
  • Stay current with the latest vendor products and industry best practices

About You
Skills
You're a hands-on, adaptable, and results-driven professional with a strong background in Control Systems Engineering. Your ability to deliver high-quality work on time and solve problems in the field will set you up for success in this role. You will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Relevant Engineering Degree
  • Experience in Functional Designs, Specification development
  • Proficient in SCADA and HMI Configuration
  • Knowledge of PLC platforms like Rockwell (incl View SE), Allen Bradley, Citect, Miri Telemetry, and Ignition
  • Knowledge of Safety Systems
  • Experience in Greenfield Design of Automation Systems
  • Experience in troubleshooting, fault finding, and commissioning of automation systems, instrumentation and VSDs
