IT Project Coordinator

The project coordinator plays a critical role in supporting IT projects by performing a wide range of tasks.
This position is responsible for coordinating multiple project tasks simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and quality standards are met. The project coordinator will work closely with directors, managers, and project managers to plan and implement IT projects, as well as respond to day-to-day communications.
- Schedule and coordinate workshops and meetings, including publishing minutes and action items.
- Establish and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including budgets, schedules, issue logs, risk registers, project reports, and status updates.
- Assist in the procurement of services and materials, and ensure all purchases align with corporate governance policies.
- Create and introduce new ideas or processes to improve productivity and work quality.
- Coordinate resource and vendor activities, including time tracking and invoice approvals.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Business, or an IT-related discipline.
- Project management certification (PMP/CAPM) would be an asset.
- Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project.
- Experience with tracking program and project issues, risks, and changes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to follow through on commitments and assume responsibility for work, actions, and decisions.
