Family Violence Case Worker
The role of the case worker is to provide support and services to families who are experiencing or have experienced family violence. The case worker will work with clients to identify their needs and develop a plan to address them. This may involve providing emotional support, connecting clients with community resources, and advocating on their behalf.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide case management and advocacy services to families experiencing or who have experienced family violence
- Respond to referrals and ensure all administrative duties are completed in a timely manner
- Develop and implement individualized plans to address client needs
- Collaborate with other service providers and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support for clients
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children is paramount in all decision-making and actions
Requirements for Success:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Community Services, Social Work, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience working with families affected by family violence
- Familiarity with working with complex issues such as domestic violence, homelessness, substance abuse, and mental health
- Strong case management and intervention delivery skills
- Ability to facilitate education programs in a group setting
- Current driver's license with no restrictions
