Aviation Operations Director

We are seeking an accomplished Aviation Operations Director to lead our Components and Avionics Workshop. The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations, manage specialized teams in Non-Destructive Testing, Composites, Paint, and Avionics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Leadership: Direct the operational and financial performance of the Components and Avionics Workshop.
  • People Development: Coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, promoting accountability and continuous learning.
  • Business Management: Develop and manage workshop budgets, monitor performance metrics, and ensure profitability targets are achieved.
  • Customer Engagement: Serve as a key point of contact for OEMs, regulatory bodies, partners, and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years managing aviation workshop operations (Components, Avionics, or related technical areas).
  • Qualifications: Technical qualifications in aircraft systems/maintenance/avionics or related support trades.
  • Compliance: Strong understanding of compliance requirements in regulated aviation environments.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams or technical departments.
  • Financial: Commercial awareness and experience in budget/P&L management and reporting.
