We are seeking a motivated and experienced Casual Chef to join our culinary team at Strathfield Golf Club, part of The Fresh Collective's range of venues. The Bistro is open for lunch and dinner daily, offering a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

As a Casual Chef, you will work closely with our Head Chef and Sous Chefs to ensure efficient food production and quality control. You will be responsible for preparing exceptionally presented dishes, consistent in flavor and appearance, and running the section or sections allocated.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work on a 5-day working week between Monday and Sunday
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to a high standard
  • Assist in managing the kitchen in the absence of the Sous/Head Chef
  • Ensure the highest standards of presentation and quality
  • Follow all food safety procedures and legislation

Requirements

  • A motivated chef with a passion for creating excellent dishes
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, from busy restaurants
  • Punctual, self-driven and autonomous, whilst being open to direction and learning
  • Excellent attention to detail with a strong work ethic
  • In possession of a valid Australian working visa
