Early Childhood Education Program Director

We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Education Program Director to lead our team at YMCA Shailer Park Outside School Hours Care (OSHC). This is a permanent, part-time position.
As the Educational Leader, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the education program, promoting children's well-being, development, and learning. You will work closely with the Assistant Coordinator/Coordinator to ensure that the educational program aligns with the National Quality Framework 'My Time Our Place' and Wooloowin State School's educational principles.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of the educational program, ensuring it is aligned with the approved learning framework;
- Ensure children's learning and development informs the design of the educational program, and Educators facilitate and extend each child's learning and development;
- Liaise effectively with parents, staff, and all internal and external stakeholders;
- Mentor and support Educators in understanding the educational program and practice, including how to reflect on the effectiveness of their programs, interactions, intentional teaching, and other strategies;
- Ensure compliance with policy and undertake administrative requirements;
- Work collaboratively with families and the school community.
- Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent and demonstrated experience in Early Childhood Education;
- Sound experience in an Early Childhood Education and Care setting;
- Comprehensive working knowledge of the approved learning framework;
- Able to coach and mentor others, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Working knowledge of leadership theory and the use of a range of leadership styles;
- Well-developed critical thinking skills, including the ability to analyse and challenge conventional practice and ideas;
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification;
- Currently possess, or be willing to obtain, Blue Card.
